“Urban hiking” is an emerging trend across the the United States in cities with rich history like Kansas City. Urban Hikes Kansas City unites traditional hiking with urban exploring. This isn’t your typical walking tour. We guide the hike through downtown Kansas City, MO check out tons of modern sites and learn about Kansas City’s interesting history. We walk on downtown sidewalks and on bits of the Riverfront Heritage Trail passing through parks and walking above and below bridges lined with street art. We see some of Kansas City’s most historical landmarks like Union Station, Liberty Memorial and also pass by places like the Kaufman Performing Arts Center, Community Bookshelf and the historical and modern Crossroads and Westside Neighborhoods. Most of our tours are approximately 5 miles long, but we offer shorter customized private tours as well.
