Hike through Downtown Kansas City

We start this adventure hearing stories of Union Station and Liberty Memorial. We spend time weaving in an out of alleyways in the Crossroads Arts District. We’ll move into the architecturally and culturally diverse neighborhood of the Westside. While we enter a couple of historical buildings, we are mostly outside. We observe intricately painted murals and street art. We walk atop bridges and below underpasses, experience nature and rich historical buildings of downtown. You’ll get a work out and see a new side of Kansas City. On the Sunset tour, the route is the same, but we savor a stunning view of the sunset from a couple different vistas facing west. The hike ends with a satisfying ride back to our starting point on Kansas City’s free street car. It’s a must to wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle.

"Learning the history of commonly seen buildings was so interesting! I really loved learning how and why things were built. The art and graffiti were nice touches and I think help appeal to different types of crowds"
